Position Title
Graduate Researcher
Temidire Dada Olalemi is a Graduate Student Researcher with the Global South Center for Clean Transportation at the University of California, Davis. Her research focuses on sustainable transportation and the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) ecosystems in emerging markets, globally. She supports efforts to develop multi-stakeholder SAF consortia by conducting market and value-chain research, mapping stakeholders, evaluating potential feedstock and production pathways, and engaging government, industry, and international partners.
Her current work includes examining SAF opportunities in Nigeria and other African markets, with attention to feedstock availability and traceability, refining and conversion pathways, infrastructure, certification, regulation, financing, and airline demand. She is interested in how existing agricultural; waste, energy, and aviation systems can be leveraged to accelerate SAF development while creating local economic opportunities.
Temidire holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with First Class Honors and a Master of Business Administration from UC Davis. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Transportation Technology and Policy at UC Davis. Her interdisciplinary background spans engineering, project management, operations, business strategy, commercialization and sustainability, allowing her to approach transportation decarbonization from both technical and commercial perspectives.
Her broader research interests include sustainable aviation, alternative fuels, transportation decarbonization, sustainable infrastructure, and the development of clean transportation solutions that are responsive to the opportunities and priorities of the Global South.
