  • Developing lithium sourcing strategies: The Center has developed a lithium sourcing strategy recommendation at a national level to address the growing demand, and supply chain dynamics for sourcing lithium for domestic cell manufacturing in India. The strategy also focusses on providing an outlook on the potential of lithium recovery from used EV batteries to meet domestic battery demand
  • Supporting adoption of Fuel Economy Regulations for Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks: The center published a report on technical design of fuel emission regulations for medium and heavy-duty vehicles in India which has been instrumental in shaping the narrative towards building more stringent regulations for MHDVs and aligning partner institutions on the messaging to the government.  In addition, the center has worked on a study on supply-side credits mechanism to advance electric truck adoption in India
  • Designing ZEV Incentives: The center is working on designing framework for demand side incentives to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in India. It has published on designing incentives for electric truck in India and is working on assessing the impact of electric vehicle incentives provided by sub-national governments in India to accelerate electrification in their respective states
  • Accelerating ZEV electrification: The center is working on developing strategies for accelerating electrification in the micro-mobility segment. The project aims to develop policy pathways by supporting the design and development of a suitable policy framework and innovative financing models to scale micro-mobility
  • Advancing ride hailing electrification: In partnership with Uber, the Center co-developed a policy report in collaboration with CADMUS on advancing electrification of the ride-hailing market segment in India 
  • E-FAST India Initiative: The center is one of the founding partners for Niti Aayog led E-FAST (Electric Freight Accelerator for Sustainable Transport) platform for generating demand for electric trucks in India. The platform facilitates collaboration between government stakeholders and private sector partners
  • Promoting sustainable battery value chains: The Centre partnered with WRI India for Battery 360 initiative. The platform aims to build a multi-stakeholder alliance to promote Sustainable and Circular Battery Value Chain
  • US-India Energy Blueprint: The center published the only strategic paper offering an actionable pathway to support the US-India partnership, covering automotive, energy technologies, and supply chains
