Bio

Laura is a PhD student in the Energy Systems program. Her work focuses on advancing decarbonization pathways for the transportation sector, with a particular emphasis on zero-emission vehicles. Currently, as part of the Global South Research Center, her work involves analyzing small vehicle electrification, assessing the current market and future opportunities for electric vehicles to replace ICE vehicles. 

Laura has a Master of Science in Transportation Technology and Policy from the University of California, Davis. She specializes in lifecycle greenhouse gas assessment, hydrogen leakage analysis, heavy-duty vehicle applications, and the integration of low-carbon fuels in freight systems. 

Laura has contributed to national and international studies on hydrogen deployment, total cost of ownership, delivery system design, and policy comparisons across U.S. and Europe. With a strong interest in global decarbonization and equitable energy futures, she brings an international perspective to her research and aims to support evidence-based solutions for the Global South and beyond.
