Associate Director, India and South Asia
Anannya Das Banerjee is an intersectional policy expert on clean transportation, electric mobility supply chain, and sustainable cities. She is currently serving as Associate Director at the Global South Clean Transportation Centre at ITS- UC Davis. She works closely with the institute in developing cross-program strategies, overseeing research, and managing strategic partnerships. She anchors our work across India and Southeast Asia, with a focus on ZEV market, vehicle technology, strengthening critical mineral & EV supply chains.
Prior to this, Anannya worked as a Program Manager for the leading advocacy-based research organization Centre for Science and Environment and has been a subject expert for ‘Down to Earth Magazine’. At CSE, she led work on sustainable mobility, public transport reforms, and provided technical support to drive judicial interventions in clean transport policies through the Honorable ‘Supreme court (SC) of India’. She also worked with the World Resources Institute (WRI-India), ICRA Management, Delhi Metro rail Corporation (DMRC) and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
